CHILD SAFEGUARDING
Safeguarding depends on clear adult conduct, attentive supervision, prompt reporting, controlled information access and respectful communication with every learner and family.
The safety, dignity and wellbeing of every learner come before convenience, publicity or operational pressure.
Staff, volunteers, contractors and visitors must maintain professional boundaries and use approved communication channels.
Concerns about abuse, neglect, unsafe conduct or suspicious access should be reported immediately through the designated school route.
Learner records, photographs and school-management information should be available only to authorised people for legitimate purposes.
Information is shared only with those who need it to protect a child, respond lawfully or carry out an authorised school function.
Good-faith concerns should be received respectfully and investigated without punishing the person who raised them.
PRIVACY IN PRACTICE
The school should collect only information needed for authorised educational, safeguarding, communication, financial and administrative functions.
Learner and parent names, contact details, identification information and emergency contacts required for school administration.
Class placement, attendance, assessments, reports, learning-support information and authorised school communications.
Invoices, receipts, balances, payment references and records needed to manage the family’s school account.
Portal and app account details, device or service logs, notification preferences and support requests where those systems are used.
Images or recordings used for identification, learning documentation or approved school communication, subject to the recorded consent.
Only the information genuinely needed to protect the learner and provide appropriate care, support or emergency response.
FAMILY RIGHTS & REQUESTS
Requests are handled carefully because the school may need to verify identity, protect another person’s information or retain records for a legitimate institutional reason.
REPORT A CONCERN
Clear reporting helps the school respond promptly, involve the right people and protect confidential information.
